Draw menu

Draw menu

This is an alternative to the Toolbar.  Here you can select any of the drawing tools used to define drainage system components and connections.

If you click any of these entries, your cursor will change from a pointer to a pencil, which can be used to draw the component at a selected location. Nodes and pits will require one click. Pipes and channels will need two clicks, one for each end of the pipe. Overland flow paths have a special, multiple-click procedure using both right and left mouse buttons, to enter a "dog-leg" route that does not write over a pipe. The ends of links must be located at nodes.

After clicking and entering a component, the cursor reverts to the usual pointer, and you have to go to the menu again. However, if you hold the Shift key down while clicking, the pencil will still be available to enter another item.

If you delete an unwanted component, click it with the right mouse button. The Pop-Up Menu for this component will appear. Selecting the Delete option on this menu will remove the unwanted component.
