Survey Data property sheet

Survey Data property sheet

In this window you can add information on ground surface levels at points along a pipe between the end manholes and the locations of other services that may conflict with a pipeline. The data tables are for a particular pipe that is named in the title and chainages are given for the upstream and downstream ends.

You can enter chainages and corresponding surface levels in the first table provided. After entering the first value, you can use the Tab key to move to the other points where entries can be made.

The intermediate points are used in calculating quantities for excavations. They are also used to allow for minimum covers along a pipe in Design runs.

In the second table, you can enter chainages and corresponding bottom levels and heights for services that may conflict with the pipe. In Design mode, DRAINS will design around these, taking into account the position of the service and a clearance specified in the Project Options property sheet.

Both surface levels and services are displayed in the pipe long section called from the pipe pop-up menu. Services are shown red and the clearances as yellow.
