These are Window programs for analysis and design of water supply networks developed and supported by Watercom. PIPES for Windows performs steady-state analysis of systems including pipes, valves, pumps and reservoirs. It is widely used in Australia and internationally. Its graphical user interface is the basis for the interface in DRAINS.
PIPES++ is a more comprehensive program, analysing water supply networks over periods of changing demands and flow conditions.
The "engine" from the PIPES programs is used to model pressurised or full-pipe flow conditions in DRAINS when basic hydraulic calculations are performed.
