Pipe drawing tool

Pipe drawing tool

This tool  allows you to enter a circular or rectangular pipe in the Main Window. This can connect various components such as pits, detention basins and culverts.

When you click on this tool, the arrow cursor changes to a pencil. Click the pointer on the required location of the upstream node or pit and the pipe reach will appear as a stretching line as you move the pencil. Click again to place the other end of the pipe at the downstream pit, node or other device.

(You can enter several pipes without having to refer back to the Toolbar or Draw menu by holding down the shift key as you click.  If you enter a pipe by mistake, hold your mouse pointer on it, press the right mouse button to open a small menu, and select Delete.  Alternatively, you can click on a pipe to select it, and when "handles" (black squares) appear to the ends, press the Delete button on your keyboard.)

To enter data, right-click on some point along the pipe to open a small menu. Selecting Edit Data from this opens the Pipe property sheet.
