ILSAX is a public domain MS-DOS program developed from the South African ILLUDAS-SA program, which was itself a development of the American ILLUDAS program and the British Transport and Road Research Method (known as the TRRL or RRL model). It was developed by Geoffrey O’Loughlin from 1982 onwards, and was released in a version for PCs in 1986. ILSAX has been employed widely in Australia.
ILSAX was a major source for the DRAINS program, and DRAINS reproduces and improves upon methods used in ILSAX. ILSAX is no longer supported by Geoffrey O'Loughlin. The program and its manual can be obtained by contacting Geoffrey on geoff.oloughlin@gmail.com.
